PRELIMINARY REGISTRATION
A Polish preliminary (provisional) boat registration is a temporary document valid for 30 days after the date of issue, allowing immediate legal use of the vessel. During this time, the permanent registration, which is valid for life without renewal fees, is finalized and issued within 2-4 weeks.
- Validity Period: The provisional registration is valid for 30 days.
- Purpose: It allows for immediate legal operation of the vessel in international waters while the permanent, lifetime registration is processed.
- Issuance Time: Provisional registrations are usually delivered within 2-5 business days or 1-3 working days.
- Replacement: Within the 30-day provisional period, the official, permanent registration card is issued, which is valid indefinitely.
- Requirement: It is generally available for both private and commercial vessels under 24 meters.
